Still More Recordings

I just posted some more open mic recordings. Over the next few days I'm going to post some of the songs that I made for my production courses on my Berklee page. Also, I'm going to repost Julie Geller's songs with a few subtle improvements.

I've played gigs the past four nights, so it's nice to have a break tonight. Tomorrow, I'm going to meet my friend Justin tomorrow to go skiing. I have my regular routine on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, I'm off to Israel for two weeks. I'm excited to get back there and see everyone. I'm especially excited for the change of pace, and to have a break from my world over here. It will be a great trip. I don't imagine that I'll write any blogs when I'm over there. This may be the last one for a little while.

More Recordings

I just posted some more recordings on my Crooked Creek Open Mic page. I was a few weeks behind and now I'm caught up. Unfortunately, I have no recordings from February 16 when Bobby came to the open mic. Tonight, Andy Irvine will host the open mic since I have a different gig. Andy Irvine will also host the open mic on March 30, April 6, and April 13. During those dates I'll be out of the country, visiting my little sister in Israel. I'm planning on being back in Colorado on April 15th, in time for the Space Jam at the C-lot on April 16th. I hope you like the new recordings.

New Recordings

I just posted new demo recordings from two different projects. On Hunker Down's "Listen" page, there are six new mp3s. Andy, Matt, Greg, Bobby and I recorded the new tracks last Saturday afternoon before our show. On Monday, I overdubbed bass and then bounced everything to mp3. The tunes are pretty loose and raw, but the recordings do a good job to capture the current vibe of the band.

The other new mp3 recordings are linked to my Julie Geller page. There are five of Julie's original songs to listen to at the bottom of the page. We recorded them together over the past couple months.

In other news, Hunker Down will be opening tomorrow for Vince Herman, who used to be the frontman for Leftover Salmon. The show will be at Buckets in Winter Park. Tim O'Brien is playing an earlier show tomorrow also in Winter Park, so there is an outside chance that he'll show up too. I'm playing gigs on Friday and Saturday night at Scruffy Murphy's in Denver. A few of the guys from Hunker Down will join me at Scruffy's, but it won't be the full band. On Monday, I'm playing 80's music with Julie for a Purim party. Next Thursday will be open mic night at the Crooked Creek, back to normal again. Next weekend, I'm playing Friday night with Juice Box in Granby, Saturday with Hunker Down at Devil's Thumb Ranch, and Sunday with Hunker Down at the Pub in Winter Park. It's going to be a busy run, but it will be fun... done.
