Keeping the beat

There are an infinite number of forevers between every second. That fact makes keeping time more difficult.

Update

It's been a long time since I wrote a blog. Here's an update of what's going on up here.

Last week I finished a new batch of audio clips for Jody Mintken's Channel 17 television station. I created five 30 second cues and three 15 second cues, which will air on the channel starting the beginning of June. I'll try to post the new clips on my website when I have more time.

I played yesterday with Juicebox in Granby, and I played with Hunker Down last Thursday at Herman's Hideaway. Hunker Down's next show is this Saturday at the Winter Park Pub. We'll be playing the following Friday at Buckets and a hip-hop/reggae band called Tribe Zion will open the show.

Open mic is continuing and has had good turn-outs even though it's mud season here in the valley. I'm still recording performances at open mic, but I'm from now on I'm only going to post the recordings upon request or for special instances.

Julie Geller and I are working on our second round of recordings. We're in the process of recording her Jewish material. Her Jewish songs and more piano based than her folk oriented material. Hopefully we'll have some new mp3's posted by mid-summer.

I've been working on a cd of my original music. The working title is "The Y Album." The White Album was already taken. It will be at least a few months befor I finish it.

In other news, I'm in the process of buying property here in the mountains. It looks like in another few weeks I'm going to become a home-owner.

I'm going to try to get back into the habit of posting my current events up here on this blog, but don't blame me if I don't. Until next time...
